Water Bottle Design
I like three things of the Hyotan Gourd, 1) the shape, the neck looks very easy to grip and it looks like it holds something sacred 2) the rope that holds the plug helps to prevent it from being lost and 3) the porcelain or ivory ring that the rope is wrapped around adds a sense of sophistication and character to the gourd.
For the tonic water package, I like how clean it looks. I’d almost want to remove the label and just have the graduations. No Brand.
I would incorporate a double glass layer. The double glass layer will add improved temperature control to the bottle and prevent you from burning yourself if you choose to use hot water. The reason I would use glass instead of stainless steel is that this is mostly for drinking cold/room temperature water (although still allowing you to drink hot water) and seeing the purity of the water is more important to me than the length of temperature control.
Lastly, I would include a stick of charcoal, Kishu Binchotan is an ancient form of water purification that uses a stick of white charcoal to purify water. I also like the look of that stick of charcoal, its a contradiction to clean. I think it creates an interesting contrast.
